It is yet another season and managers have gone all out to reinforce their teams ahead of the new EPL campaign 2016/16. Record signings for some clubs have transpired with the club purse for many teams being broken to ensure quality and numbers in key positions. We take a look at the top foreign signings making debut premier league performances and what their chances for starting in their respective teams opener.
Bastian Schweinsteiger – Manchester United
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 8/10
The first German to ever play for the Red Devils featured in three of United’s four friendlies in North America. The Bayern Munich legend wouldn’t have moved to Old Trafford to be a squad player, so his chances of facing Spurs on Saturday are very high.
Roberto Firmino – Liverpool
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 6/10
He has just one Liverpool appearance to his name to date – a start at Swindon Town last weekend. He is unlikely to start at Stoke City on Sunday, but he probably will feature from the bench.
Gerard Deulofeu - Everton

Patrick Bamford – Crystal Palace
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 8/10
Chelsea starlet Bamford was loaned out to Middlesbrough last season and he dazzled on Teesside, netting 17 league goals en route to winning the Championship Player of the Year award.
He has still yet play for his parent club in the Premier League, but he will get a chance to display his talents in the best league in the world with Crystal Palace, having joined the Eagles on loan.
Bamford scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 friendly win over Bromley at the end of last month and he is expected to make his competitive Palace debut at Norwich City on Saturday.
Toby Alderwierld - Tottenham Hotspurs

Spurs looked to reinforce their defense by signing the Belgian from Atletico Madrid this summer. A season loan from Southampton sees him join the rivals Spurs. With the loss of Hugo Lloris at the back and Younes Kaboul to Sunderland, the odds of manager Pochetinno favoring to start Alderwierld this weekend are steep. He brings experience and much needed confidence to ensure Spurs secure the points and get off to a good start.
Dimitri Payet – West Ham Unite
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 8/10
Only Lionel Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Kevin De Bruyne made more assists in one of Europe’s top five leagues last season.
Payet set up 17 goals for Marseille in France’s Ligue 1.
He will be expected to be West Ham’s main man in midfield following his £10.7m move, starting with Arsenal away on Sunday.
Alexandre Mitrovic – Newcastle United
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 7/10
Newcastle signing 20-year-old goal machine Mitrovic for £14.5m could be one of the best buys the Magpies have made in many years.
He scored 27 times in 53 league appearances for Anderlecht.
If he starts for Newcastle against Southampton on Sunday, we could well see this celebration before the weekend is out.
Ibrahim Afellay – Stoke City
Once chased by Liverpool and Arsenal, Dutch winger Afellay shocked a lot of people this summer by signing for Stoke on a free transfer.
The 29-year-old is the fourth Champions League winner in the current Potters squad, along with Bojan, Marc Muniesa and Marko Arnautovic.
All four could well play against Liverpool on Sunday.
Memphis Depay – Manchester United
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 8/10
The Red Devils will be looking to get off to a fast start in their opening-day clash with Spurs at Old Trafford, so Depay should be involved in Saturday’s starting XI.
Tyrone Mings – AFC Bournemouth
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 9/10
Arsenal’s Arsene Wenger was among the managers interested in Mings, but the 22-year-old, who cost £8m, opted for Bournemouth, where he will me a regular starter.
Georginio Wijnaldum – Newcastle United
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 10/10
The 19-time Dutch international cost Newcastle £14.5m when he signed from PSV in Julyhe Magpies don’t pay that sort of cash on someone to warm the bench.
Wijnaldum will play against Southampton on Sunday.
Yohan Cabaye - Crystal Palace

The former PSG mildfielder made a return to premier league life after completing a switch to Crystal Palace.He is not a new face in the league with numerous appearances for the Magpies and it will be delightful to see his magic on the pitch again. He boosts the Palace bench formidably and will easily feature in the match against Norwich.
Matteo Darmian – Manchester United
Likelihood of making Premier League debut this weekend – 8/10
Darmian is not the most inspiring summer signing to arrive at Old Trafford this summer, on paper.
However, he is a very practical addition to Louis van Gaal’s squad.
The Italian defender was one of the star performers of United’s preseason tour and he has very chance of starting against Spurs in either of the full-back positions.
